Coolabi Signs New Licensing Deals For Publishing Phenomenon Beast Quest

Fashion UK and Scribble Down Join the Expanding Beast Universe

Coolabi Group is excited to announce new licensing deals with Fashion UK and Scribble Down for its popular adventure brand, Beast Quest. Apparel specialists, Fashion UK will design and distribute a daywear and nightwear collection, while Scribble Down will develop and distribute transfer packs for the fantasy franchise targeting 7-10 year old boys and girls.

Beast Quest is published in the UK by Orchard Books and owned by Working Partners – part of the Coolabi Group. It boasts over 100 books published to date, and is translated into more than 30 languages. Over 13.5 million copies of Beast Quest adventures have been sold worldwide.

Fashion UK will be responsible for daywear in the form of short and long t-shirts, sweats, hoodies, fashion tops, jogging bottoms and shorts. Nightwear apparel will also be produced including pyjama sets and Beast Quest onesies. These will be available in all retail channels including independents, specialists, high end and mass-market retailers.

The fashion house has over 16 years experience in the licensing industry. Gurdev Mattu, Managing Director at Fashion UK comments, “We are excited by this property, not only because of the proven publishing success, but also by all the additional support in game play.”

Scribble Down has inked a two-year deal with Coolabi, which will see product available from November this year. Fans will really enjoy entering the world of Beast Quest in this way and it is a perfect pocket money purchase!”

The hit adventure book series is coming to life in the digital world through a co-creation with Miniclip and Coolabi, with mobile games launching this winter. It will be a fully immersive App experience, bringing the characters and world to the screen to a huge audience. MiniClip has over 100MM visits every month. Winning Moves UK has come on board and will launch a collection of Top Trumps cards in January 2015.

SkyJack Publishing and Pedigree Books will both be printing Beast Quest-themed publications, including three magazines and an annual respectively. Fans can enjoy new books launching from Orchard Books later this year and throughout 2015.

Penned by author Adam Blade, one of the most borrowed authors at UK libraries in 2013, the stories focus on a battle between good defenders and evil beasts, following the young hero Tom and his best friend Elenna as they embark on a swashbuckling quest to rescue the kingdom of Avantia.
