Monster Mia is an upcoming animated feature film based on our ten-title book series, first published in Germany as Monster Mia and subsequently in English as Monstrous Maud.

All her life, Mia (12) not only feels out of place in her town, she feels out of place in her own family. Her twin sister is the picture-perfect Primrose girl. Mia, on the other hand, loves skateboarding, quirky clothes, and her scruffy pet rat, Quentin.

After another ‘issue’ at school, the headmistress of Primrose Towers transfers Mia to Rotwood Academy, which looks more like a castle than a school. What’s more, at Rotwood, the students are… real monsters and Mia is the only human!

Mia has finally found a place where she belongs.
