Coolabi strengthens Clangers line-up announcing another five new licensing deals
Independent international media group and rights owner Coolabi Group today announces deals with a raft of high profile licensing partners Dreamtex Ltd, Fashion UK, Jo Y Jo, Redan and StoryToys which join the strong portfolio of licensees for the much anticipated new series of the Clangers.
Clangers launches on the UK’s CBeebies and US 24-hour pre-school network, Sprout, this summer, marking an exciting time for the company as the licensing programme continues to build for the property with the addition of homewares, apparel, publishing and digital gaming deals.
Fashion UK will develop a range of Clangers apparel for children including T-shirts, fashion tops, dresses, leggings and shorts.
In addition, Dreamtex Ltd has come on board to develop Clangers homewares to include duvet covers, curtains, towels, fleece blankets, rugs, beanbags and cushions.
Inspired by the knitted style of the Clangers, a deal has been agreed with knitwear supplier Jo Y Jo Design Limited. Regarded for its high quality, Jo Y Jo will develop knitwear and knitted accessories for children, including hats, scarves and gloves.
Redan Publishing, the leading independent publisher for the pre-school magazine sector, will include Clangers in its best-selling Fun to Learn magazines ‘Fun to Learn Favourites’ and ‘Fun to Learn Friends’ producing workbooks, posters and covermounts.
Adding further weight to the licensee portfolio StoryToys is signed as a key partner producing bespoke digital gaming and enhanced ebook apps for mobile and tablet devices, creating new experiences that will emphasise the themes of Clangers. The products roll out from summer 2015.
